How we write

Editorial policy · Last updated 19 October 2026

Verso's articles answer the questions people ask about the Bible, faith and prayer. This page explains who writes them, how, and what we hold them to.

Written with AI help, reviewed by a person

Each article is drafted with the help of an AI model (Claude, by Anthropic) from a brief we set: the question, the angle and what readers need. A second, separate pass checks the draft for factual mistakes, unfair treatment of a tradition and copied wording, and automatic checks confirm every Bible reference is a real verse. Then Miguel Ridruejo Mendoza, who makes Verso, reads the whole article and publishes it only if he would put his name to it. Nothing is published without that review, and every article says it was written with AI help.

Scripture

Every quoted verse comes straight from a public-domain Bible: the Berean Standard Bible in English and the Reina-Valera 1909 in Spanish. The quotations are inserted from the same Bible files the Verso app uses, never typed from memory, so they can't be misquoted. Other passages are cited by reference, so you can read them in context in any Bible you like.

Fair to every tradition

Our readers are Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox and curious. Where Christians genuinely read a passage differently, we say so and describe each reading fairly, rather than taking a side. We stay with what the text, its context and mainstream scholarship support, and we say less when something is uncertain.

Not professional advice

Articles on hard topics such as anxiety, grief or fear offer what Scripture says, not medical, psychological or legal advice. If you're struggling, please talk to a doctor, a counselor or your local church; if you or someone else is in danger, contact your local emergency services.

Our interest

We make Verso, a Bible app, and each article ends with a way to read on in it. No one pays to appear in an article, and the article itself never depends on the app: everything it says stands on its own.

Corrections

If something reads wrong, write to hello@versobible.com. A person reads every message; we fix mistakes quickly and update the article's date when we do.
