About this prayer
The daily offering of the Apostleship of Prayer, a movement founded in 1844 by the French Jesuit François-Xavier Gautrelet among the seminarians at Vals, France. It gives the whole coming day to God, joined to Christ's own offering. Many Catholics say it on waking, before anything else. Our English and Spanish follow the French.
