Bible Trivia in Verso

A Bible trivia game where every answer comes with its verse

Bible Trivia is a quiz game inside Verso, the Bible app for iPhone. You play short levels of five questions through the Bible's stories, from Creation to Revelation, and every answer tells you why it's right and where the Bible says so.

Bible Trivia's Areas: Abraham's Family in play, Noah's ark finished and Jacob and Joseph still locked

Play through the whole Bible

The game follows the Bible in order, in 14 areas: In the Beginning, Abraham's Family, Jacob and Joseph, Out of Egypt, The Promised Land, The Kings, Prophets and Exile, Songs, Wisdom and Promises, Jesus Is Born, Jesus' Ministry, Parables and Healings, The Cross and the Empty Tomb, The Church Begins, and Letters and Revelation.

Each area has 8 levels of five questions, and they go deeper as you go: the first levels ask about stories most people know, the last ones about details you notice on a closer reading. There are nearly 900 questions in all, in English and in Spanish.

A Bible Trivia question about Jacob on his way to Haran, with four answers and the lamp, scissors and scroll boosters

Five questions a level

Each level is five questions about one story, and there is no timer: take as long as you need. When a question is hard, a booster helps. The oil lamp shows the verse where the answer is found, the scissors take away two wrong answers and the scroll shows the passage itself. Before a level, the shield of faith covers its first miss, and a double portion doubles its new stars.

Only the first miss of a question in a level costs a life, and a life comes back every 20 minutes. You earn boosters by finishing areas, passing levels in a row, from Daily Manna and from the league. There are no ads, no loot boxes and no spins, and nothing in the game is left to chance.

The answer explained: Jacob took a stone for a pillow, with Genesis 28:11 quoted under it

Every answer teaches

Miss a question and you try again until you find the answer. Then Verso shows you a sentence or two on why it's right and the verse it comes from, in the Bible you read in the app, with a link to read the whole passage.

The questions are written from the passage itself and checked against it in both languages. If one looks wrong or unclear, you can report it in two taps.

The first area's scene almost built: Noah's ark, with the animals walking up the ramp two by two

Build the Bible's scenes

Pass a level with three or more right first time and earn up to three stars. Spend them to build the area's scene, piece by piece: Noah's ark and its animals, Abraham's camp, Bethlehem, the Sea of Galilee, the garden tomb and more. When an area's eight levels are passed and its scene is finished, the next area opens.

Today's challenge: when God promised Abram many descendants, what did he tell him to look up and count?

Today's challenge

Today's challenge is the same five questions for everyone that day, drawn from the whole Bible, with a result you can share without giving the answers away. It never costs a life, and it doesn't repeat a question for months.

Daily Manna: seven days of gifts, boosters on the first six and a chest on the seventh

Daily Manna

Daily Manna gives a small gift for each day you come back, from a booster on the first day to a chest on the seventh. A missed day pauses it, and nothing is lost.

The weekly league: the podium with Noble Cedar, Bold Well and Friendly Donkey, and the rest of the group by levels passed

The weekly league

Each week there's a league: from Monday to Sunday you race a group of players at your own pace by the levels you pass, and the top three win a chest of boosters. You play under a name the game makes up for you, like "Faithful Lion", and an animal avatar. There's no account to create, and nothing anyone types is shown to anyone.

The Verso Pass in the Season of the Exodus: tier 9, a key for each level passed, and the rewards along its track

The Verso Pass

The Verso Pass runs in 30-day seasons, each named for a part of the Bible, like the Season of the Exodus. Levels and daily challenges earn keys, and the keys unlock rewards along a track of 40 tiers.

What Verso Plus adds

With Verso Plus you have eight lives instead of five, a daily gift of boosters, rounds of the questions you missed, and the Verso Pass's Plus track. Plus is also the rest of Verso at its deepest: a study for every verse, Ask the Bible and every reading plan. What's in Verso Plus.

More than a game

Trivia is one tab of Verso. Next to it is the Bible, read one verse at a time, in seven translations, including Catholic Bibles with all 73 books. There is also a prayer for every day and the saint of the day. A question can take you straight to its passage, and from there you can keep reading. Today's verse.

Questions

Is there a Bible trivia app for iPhone?

Yes. Bible Trivia is a tab in Verso, a Bible app for iPhone, in English and Spanish. It has 14 areas of 8 levels from Genesis to Revelation, a daily challenge and a weekly league.

How many questions does Bible Trivia have?

Nearly 900: five for each of the 112 levels, more for replays, and a daily challenge drawn from every area that doesn't repeat a question for months.

Are the questions hard?

They start easy and get deeper. In each area the first levels ask about well-known stories and the last ones about details. Every answer comes with its explanation and its verse, so a miss is a chance to learn.

Does the game have ads or loot boxes?

No. There are no ads and nothing random: no loot boxes, spins or mystery rewards. Every reward is shown before you earn it.

Can I play Bible Trivia in Spanish?

Yes. Every question, answer and explanation is in English and in Spanish, and the verses come from the Bible you read in Verso in that language.

Does it work offline?

Yes. The levels and the daily challenge are on your iPhone, so you can play without a signal. The league catches up when you're back online.
