To the Sacred Heart
Jesus, gentle and humble of heart, make my heart like yours.
Sweet Heart of my Jesus, make me love you more and more.
O Heart of love, I put all my trust in you: I fear everything from my own weakness, but I hope for everything from your goodness. Amen.

About this prayer
Three short traditional prayers to the heart of Jesus. The first echoes his words in Matthew 11:29; the third is attributed to St Margaret Mary Alacoque (1647–1690), whose visions at Paray-le-Monial in France spread devotion to the Sacred Heart. They may be said at any time, especially on the first Friday of the month and in June.
